A.F. Lusi Construction, Inc. was founded in 1950 by Armando F. "Gus" Lusi. Since its inception, the company's goal was to build and nourish a reputation for extraordinary workmanship, contractor design, dependable cost management and a strong work ethic. In this traditional method, the design and build functions are separate. On this project - the first new school to be built in the city of Newport, Rhode Island in many years - it was imperitive to preserve the historic value of the school originally built in 1882. The facility includes eight locker rooms, a pro shop, and a skate rental area. After a design contract is awarded and completed, the design is then submitted to a general contractor for pricing.
